Vernon began his music journey early, performing with his parents’ band not long after moving from a small town in West Virginia to Miami, Florida. In junior high, he played keyboards in jazz band and developed an interest in television production, but music always remained his focus.

As a keyboardist and harmony vocalist for the South Florida-based group Buck Wild, Vernon helped shape the band’s Eagles- and Rascal Flatts-inspired sound with rich, layered background vocals. Thanks to a connection with Chuck Pardin—father of country artist Justin Pardin—he was introduced to Tim McGraw’s bandleader Darran Smith, who produced Buck Wild’s album So Far, So Good under a combined record and artist development deal with Blue Desert Records.

Vernon’s harmony work has been featured on several studio projects, including a full vocal arrangement alongside Justin Pardin and Craig Campbell on a track recorded at Funhouse Studios in Nashville. From his home studio in Bowling Green, KY, he continues to produce and arrange music, including Interstate Drive for a former American Idol contestant.

When he’s not on the road with 7 Bridges, Vernon stays creative in the studio and never strays far from a good song or a good laugh.
